I did it for the cause, I’ll do it for my health

Today I am checking the first thing off my 2014 List: Run another 5K.

A few weeks ago I joined other CHILDREN AT RISK staff for #RaceJudicata. This year CHILDREN AT RISK was selected as the beneficiary of SMU Law School’s annual Race Judicata, where 100% of the proceeds go to the charity of choice.

As sad (and unhealthy) as it is, I hadn’t worked out in months. #RaceJudicata was my jump back into improving my health and fitness, and it has not only inspired me to get more involved in other runs/walks that benefit charity, but also to get back into a healthy routine. Sometimes you have to be coerced (Amanda!) into doing something before you can realize the real beneficiary is you.

Here are some pictures from #RaceJudicata and don’t forget to check out your local runs at Running in the USA!
